Please reach us at intake@explorationcounselinggroup.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We believe that it is important to establish a good therapeutic relationship between myself and you. By getting to know you better, it will allow us to have a full picture of how we can best help you or your child. Once the intake process is complete, we will work together to create a treatment plan with goals that you would like to accomplish within the next few months. After goals are established the therapy work begins.
Yes! Exploration Counseling is in network with BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, and United insurance plans. We are also a certified out of network provider for TriCare.
If you would like to use your insurance for therapy services, please first call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify your coverage and payments for mental health psychotherapy services prior to scheduling an appointment. Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage, session payments, copays and coinsurance. If a client meets with a therapist, and the insurance is found to be out-of-network or inactive, the client will be charged the full out-of-pocket session fee. *Note: most insurance plans restart annually, requiring clients to meet a deductible before having lower fees of a copay or co-insurance
Currently, we are only offering virtual sessions. We use a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform that allows us to meet virtually.
Typically therapy occurs weekly, especially when building the therapeutic relationship. As treatment goals are met, we can discuss going down to every other week, then monthly before terminating.
Yes! Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and therapist. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office. However, there are limitations to confidentiality, such as: * Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.*If I am court ordered to release information
